The daily number of cross-border freight trains has risen from an initial 2 trains to a peak of 23, while train traction tonnage has increased from 2,000 metric tons to 2,800 metric tons, marking a 40% growth in single-train transport capacity.    Authorities said new multimodal services — including “Lancang-Mekong Express + ChinaEurope Railway Express” and the “Kunming Land Port” rail-road-sea link — are expanding the corridor’s reach.
